Once in a Lifetime triptych
When the comet Hale-Bop hung in our skies for days on end, I really wished it could have stayed forever, but it was a once in a lifetime event.
I took some time exposures of it in the night sky over my home and was absolutely amazed at the results that came back from the processors’. The image in "Once in a Lifetime 3" minus the female figure and a little colour manipulation which I added later, hit me like a slap in the face. "Wow! Were did that come from?" I realize now it must have been light refraction in my lens, but at the time I thought I must have missed seeing a UFO during the exposure.
In the other two photographs I manipulated and superimposed the image of light refracted through a wine glass onto the table on the deck of our boat sailing on the Ionian Sea.
